Executive Chairman Dr. Bista meets Sudurpaschim CM Shah
Kathmandu: Public Service Broadcasting Nepal Executive Chairman Dr. Mahendra Bista has met with the Chief Minister and Ministers of the Sudurpaschim Province.
Today, a meeting was held between Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah and Executive Chairman Bista at the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers.
During that meeting, Public Service Broadcasting Nepal Executive Chairman Bista urged Chief Minister Shah to increase the broadcasting capacity of Radio Nepal and Nepal Television, programs and establish a bureau office in Dhangadhi.
Similarly, Executive Chairman Dr. Bista met with the Provincial Government’s Minister for Economic Affairs, Bahadur Singh Thapa and Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Hira Sarki.
During the meeting, the Executive Chairman Bista said Radio Nepal and Nepal Television, which are public service broadcasters, should run programs reflecting the various customs, languages, and art and culture of the Far Western Province. He said he is ready to cooperate with the provincial government for the programs.
Executive Chairman Bista urged the public service broadcaster to provide the necessary infrastructure in accordance with the policy of establishing a bureau office in the provincial capital, and said that the Public Service Broadcasting Service would provide the necessary equipment for that.
After the meeting, Chief Minister of the Far Western Province Government Kamal Bahadur Shah expressed the commitment of the provincial government to always support and cooperate with the public service broadcasters Nepal Television and Radio Nepal.
The meeting was attended by NTV Kohalpur Chief Nirajan Khanal and Radio Nepal representative Jagat Saud Lagapat.
