Sagarmatha Sambaad milestone in climate change issues: Pak Ambassador

Kathmandu, May 20: Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal, Abrar Hashmi, thanked Nepal government for hosting the Sagarmatha Sambbaad and raising the critical issue of climate change impacts before the world.

Talking to media persons at the Embassy here Tuesday, Hashmi said the Sagarmatha Sambaad was a milestone to the Hindu Kush region at a time when world’s temperature was rising alarmingly of late.

It is challenging both for Nepal and Pakistan to protect the Himalayas. Both countries should pay heed to the issues including climate, education, health and tourism by preserving historical heritages and biodiversity. Collaboration could be adopted towards these fronts, he added.
