Foreign Minister Dr Deuba meets Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan
Geneva (Switzerland): A bilateral meeting was held between the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr Arzu Rana Deuba, and Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Elnur Mammadov, in Geneva today.
According to the Secretariat of Foreign Minister Deuba, they met on the sidelines of the 58th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council. During the meeting, they discussed the various matters of bilateral welfare and mutual interest.
On the occasion, Foreign Minister Deuba thanked Azerbaijan for successfully conducting the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29). She shared that Nepal and Azerbaijan, as members of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and Group of 77 (G77) have been raising common problems of developing countries in international forums.
Lauding the commitments of Azerbaijan in the area of climate change, the Foreign Minister opined that both countries would raise common voices in international forums about the impacts of climate change in developing countries in the coming days.
Minister Deuba invited Azerbaijan for its participation in Sagarmatha Sambat going to be hosted by Nepal in the coming May.
