CNP operates water boring system to provide water for wildlife

Chitwan, Feb 21: The Chitwan National Park (CNP) has installed a water boring system to provide wildlife with easier access to water. The facility, located in Bhimle, is aimed at supporting wildlife living in dry areas.

With this new addition, the number of water boring facilities within the CNP has reached nine.

According to CNP’s information officer, Abinash Thapa Magar, the facilities are distributed as follows: two at the Gharial Breeding Centre, one in the Hattisar area, two in Bhimle, two in Kasara, one in Old Padampur, one in Dumariya, and one in Sukhibhar.

Managing water resources for wildlife is a priority for the CNP, ensuring that animals do not need to wander outside in search of water.

The installation cost of the facility is one million rupees. Additionally, work is ongoing to conserve and clean water resources and ponds within the CNP.

Moreover, two artificial ponds have also been constructed.
