Fast electric charging station comes into operation along Narayangadh-Butwal section

Nawalpur (Nawalparasi), Feb 11: A fast charging station for electric vehicles has begun operations at Kawasoti-11 in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East).

The station can charge five small and large vehicles simultaneously. Local resident Bishnu Adhikari set up the facility on his five kattha of land with support from the Nepal Electricity Authority, investing a total of Rs 10 million.

Adhikari also plans to operate a refreshment centre for drivers. The station offers 24-hour charging services and is the only charging station along the 114-km Narayangadh-Butwal road section.

On average, around 50 vehicles can be charged daily, but road expansion delays have caused some issues. Adhikari plans to add 10 more charging nozzles once the road expansion is completed.
