Educational program a must to create employment at home: Dr. Thapaliya

 

Chitwan, Feb 10: Vice-Chancellor of Purbanchal University Prof. Dr. Biju Kumar Thapaliya said that the trend of students going abroad after grade 12 is declining the enrollment of students in Nepal’s colleges.

Addressing the 16th-anniversary celebration of Shree College of Technology and Shree Chitwan College here today, he shared that educational programs are being introduced in a way to create opportunities to attract students. Prof. Dr. Thapaliya said, “We are bringing new programs to attract students, as the prime challenge now is to increase the number of students.”.

On the occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Purbanchal University, Dr. Shailesh Mani Pokharel, said that the university has its journal and lauded the college for initiating the remarkable work of publishing research papers.

On the occasion, the Chief Medical Superintendent of Bharatpur Hospital, Prof. Dr. Krishna Prasad Paudel, said that the practice of going abroad for studies after class 12 has made it difficult to run the hospital due to a lack of human resources.

Also on the occasion, the students who scored the highest marks and stood first and second in various sports were awarded. The college has been conducting courses in BPH, B Pharmacy, BSc Nursing, and BN. —RSS
