Kaligandaki Corridor: Construction of three motorable bridges completed in Mustang
Myagdi, Feb 9: Three motorable bridges have been constructed along the Kaligandaki Corridor, a national pride project connecting China and India via the Benighat–Jomsom–Korala road in Mustang.
The Benighat–Jomsom–Korala Road Project Office, Mustang, built the bridges over Marphakhola, Nursingkhola and Charangkhol for 310.78 million rupees.
Project chief Dhruba Kumar Jha stated that construction of the bridges and access roads has been completed, allowing vehicle movement.
With the permanent bridge in operation, crossing the river on temporary wooden structures is no longer necessary.
Road extension and additional bridge construction are also underway.
