DPM Shrestha criticizes comparison between workers and gossipmongers
Kathmandu: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh condemned comparing hard workers with gossipmongers.
Inaugurating a building for the ward office for ward no 29 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City today, DPM Singh expressed his qualm over the notion of those gossipmongers that constitution promulgation was insignificant.
‘Some claim that constitution promulgation was not a big deal. Then what does it take to deliver significant works?,’ the DPM angrily questioned, denouncing the comparison between those who deliver diligently with those who only talk.
He urged the public to discern the true intention behind the gossip and noises being waged by some gossipmongers. The DPM also called the public for a clear assessment between those who truly serve people through politics and those who make politics their meal ticket.
On a different note, he clarified that the Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) came together to form a stable government and deliver accordingly. As for the ordinances introduced by the incumbent government while the parliament was open for its business, he explained that those ordinances were brought to revitalize the national economy.
He also emphasized utilizing the unused public land to be repurposed for the public and residents should be able to use such lands.
According to him, the government was working towards this end. Mentioning notable progress made in the sector of roads and community schools in the Kathmandu constituency no 1 which he represents, he pledged to shift his focus to improving the health sector in his constituency.
