Church Boys United Club lifts trophy of Jhapa Gold Cup
Jhapa, Dec 23: The Church Boys United Club has won the title of this year’s Jhapa Gold Cup by defeating NRT Club.
With the victory, the Church Boys United Club received Rs 1 million in cash. In the final match held on Monday at Birtamod Stadium, the NRT Club lost the match to Church Boys United Club 3-1. The Church Boys United Club also won last year’s 6th edition of the Jhapa Gold Cup.
The first runner-up, NRT Club, got Rs 500,000 in cash. Sameer Tamang of Church Boys was named the Player of the Match, winning Rs 10,000 in cash. Likewise, Krishal Moktan of Church Boys was named the best goalkeeper, Anjan Bista of NRT was the higher-scoring striker, and Pradip Budhathoki of Jhapa-11 Club as Jhapa Talent received Rs 35,000 each.
Rohan Karki of Church Boys was declared the Most Valuable Player and won Rs 100,000. —RSS
