PM Oli honors Janakpur Bolts for their victory in NPL

Kathmandu, 22 December: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has honoured the Janakpur Bolts, the winners of the first edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), for their exceptional performance.

The recognition ceremony was held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar.

During the event, the Prime Minister congratulated the team’s captain, players, the Cricket Association of Nepal, and the organizers for their contribution to raising the standard of Nepali cricket.

PM Oli acknowledged the team’s victory in the finals at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Saturday.

The Prime Minister expressed his hopes for the team’s continued success and encouraged them to maintain their determination, skills, and enthusiasm.

Likewise, PM Oli reiterated that Janakpur Bolts’ outstanding victory was a collective achievement for the entire nation, emphasizing ongoing efforts to improve cricket infrastructure, including the recent decision to upgrade the Kirtipur Cricket Ground.

The Prime Minister assured that the government would continue supporting the development of sports and addressed concerns raised by cricket officials regarding the difficulties foreign players face when coming to Nepal, as well as the complicated processes involved in securing foreign investment.

Furthermore, PM Oli promised to facilitate these processes in the future.
