Radio Nepal to begin broadcasting news in Danuwar language
Radio Nepal is set to begin broadcasting news in the Danuwar language, bringing the total number of languages it offers for news to 25.
The inaugural broadcast will take place at 3:15 p.m. on the 16th of October.
Executive Director of Radio Nepal Amar Dhoj Lama announced that the launch will be attended by the Government Spokesperson and Minister for Communication and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung, as a special guest.
Chandra Bhusan Das, Deputy Executive Director of Radio Nepal, noted that this decision follows recommendations from the Language Commission and requests from various stakeholders.
The news in the Danuwar language will be aired from the Bagmati Province Broadcasting Centre of Radio Nepal.
