One dead as boat capsizes in Fewa lake

March 5, Pokhara: An elderly woman died after a boat capsized in Fewa lake on Saturday.

Yam Maya Giri, 70, of Pokhara Metropolitan City-1 died while receiving treatment in a hospital in Pokhara as she sustained injuries after the boat capsized following a strong wind at 4:10 pm this afternoon, said Shrawan Kumar BK, the Spokesperson of Kaski District Police Office.

Six persons were travelling in the boat during the time of accident. The health condition of five others is normal.
