Government decides to acquire land for petroleum exploration in Dailekh District
Kathmandu: The government has decided to explore the petroleum products at Jaljale of Bhairabi Rural Municipality-1 in Dailekh district. The Cabinet meeting on Monday took the decision to acquire land at Jaljale for this purpose.

Government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, shared the information in this regard. At a press meeting organized to share the Cabinet meeting decisions, she informed that government would provide approval to the concerned authority to acquire necessary land at Gokarneshwor Municipality-1 of Kathmandu to implement the Nagamati Embankment Project.
The meeting has permitted the Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Gopal Prasad Sigdel, to attend the IWMI meeting to be held in South Africa.
Similarly, Defense Minister Hari Prasad Uprety will be holding a visit to India from February 13 to 18, the spokesperson said, adding that the visit will be a part of the regular discussion between the two countries on security.
A delegation led by Energy Secretary Dinesh Kumar Ghimire will attend the 10th meeting of the joint action and joint operators’ committee group under the Nepal-India Power Trade Agreement on February 17-18. The government granted permission for it.
Another delegation to get approval for attending the international event is the one led by Secretary (Science and Technology), Pramiladevi Shakya Bajracharya. Her delegation will take part in the TC Asia and The Pacific NLO Workshop being held in Vienna of Austria from March 20-22, which is being organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Moreover, Additional Health Secretary Dr Sangita Kaushal Mishra will be attending a seminar on South East Asian countries on tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS and malaria being held in Thailand from February 13 to 15. It was also approved by the Cabinet meeting.
