Saudi Arabia Sends Humanitarian Aid to Nepal

Kathmandu, Oct. 8: A consignment of humanitarian and relief supplies provided by Saudi Arabia has arrived in Nepal to support ongoing relief efforts.

The assistance, provided through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), was brought to Nepal by an aircraft that landed on Wednesday.

Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Mahabir Pun and Saudi Ambassador to Nepal Fahad bin Mohammed bin Mnikhr received the assistance on behalf of the Government of Nepal.

A specialized team from KSrelief will work in coordination with relevant Nepali authorities to facilitate the distribution of the relief supplies to those in need.

Receiving the assistance, Minister Pun expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership for the support, saying the humanitarian gesture reflected the close friendship and longstanding relations between Nepal and Saudi Arabia.

The latest assistance comes as Nepal continues its efforts to respond to the impact of recent natural disasters and provide relief to affected communities.
