Goods Worth Rs 1.4 Million Seized in Parsa

Birgunj, Oct 6: Police have seized goods worth around Rs 1.4 million that were allegedly brought into Nepal by evading customs duties in Parsa.

According to the District Police Office, Parsa, goods worth around Rs 1 million were seized from Gandak Chowk in Birgunj Metropolitan City-14. The confiscated items include mobile phones, cosmetics, and fruits.

Likewise, police seized smuggled goods worth around Rs 400,000 from Rajat Jayanti Chowk in Birgunj Metropolitan City-16.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Chakra Bahadur Malla said the confiscated goods were handed over to the Birgunj Customs Office for further action.
