Baglung landslides death toll reaches 13

Baglung, Oct 1: The death toll from landslides triggered by incessant rainfall between September 25 and 27 in Baglung has reached 13.

The death toll climbed to 13 after the body of a woman missing in a landslide was recovered on Wednesday.

The lifeless body of 53-year-old Punasara BK, a resident of Santar in Tamankhola Rural Municipality-4, was recovered from the debris of the landslide.

Superintendent of Police Phanindra Prasai of the District Police Office said. She had gone missing in a landslide that occurred on September 27.

Among the dead, five are from Nisikhola Rural Municipality, five from Tamankhola Rural Municipality, and three from Tarakhola Rural Municipality. They were buried in their homes by landslides. RSS
