231 houses at high risk of landslide, flood in Gulmi

Gulmi: Landslide and flood following incessant rainfall for the past few days have put 231 houses of different local levels in Gulmi district at high-risk.

According to the District Police Office, Gulmi, some families at high risk have been taking shelter at their relatives and neighbours’ houses. Chief of the District Police Office, Bhim Kiran Bogati, shared that 15 houses of Kaligandaki rural municipality, 30 houses of Satyawati rural municipality, 40 houses of Ruruchhetra rural municipality, 12 houses of Musikot municipality and Resunga municipality are at the high-risk of landslide and flood.

Similarly, landslide and flood have put five houses of Gulmidurbar rural municipality at high-risk while 70 houses of Chandrakot rural municipality, 15 houses of Dhurkot rural municipality, 12 houses of Isma rural municipality and seven houses of Chhatrakot rural municipality, he added.

The details of losses caused by landslide and flood in the district are receiving gradually.

Police said activities are underway with the support of local levels to relocate the families at risk of landslide and flood to safer places.
