20th Asian Games: Nepal eliminated from first round of men’s singles table tennis

Kathmandu: Nepal’s Rubin Maharjan and Samyog Kapali have been eliminated from the first round of Men’s singles table tennis under the 20th Asian Games taking place in Japan.

In the match held at Sky Hall Toyota of Nagoya in Japan today, Rubin was defeated by Macau’s player Tin Ian Mak while Samyog was defeated by Ebrahim Gubran of Yemen.

Rubin, however, had won first and second set 11-5 and 11-3 respectively. He lost third, fourth and fifth sets 11-9, 11-4 and 12-10 respectively.

Similarly, Samyog lost four out of five sets against Ebrahim.
