Prime Minister Shah in New York

New York: Prime Minister Balendra Shah arrived here earlier today, leading the Nepali delegation to the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Upon arrival at JFK International Airport, Prime Minister Shah was welcomed by Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shisir Khanal, Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, and Permanent Resident Representative of Nepal to the United Nations, Lok Bahadur Thapa.

Later today, Prime Minister Shah is scheduled to hold a courtesy meeting with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.

He will also attend a reception hosted by the Nepali Mission in New York. Prime Minister Shah is scheduled to address the General Assembly on Thursday afternoon.
