President Paudel attends special Constitution Day ceremony

Kathmandu: President Ramchandra Paudel has attended a special ceremony held at the Army Pavilion, Tundikhel, in Kathmandu this morning to mark Constitution Day and National Day.

On the occasion, a contingent of the Nepali Army presented a guard of honour to President Paudel.

The Nepali Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police also performed a march-past and band displays during the ceremony.

A banner bearing the inscription ‘Constitution Day and National Day 2083’ was displayed from an army helicopter.

Vice President Ramsahaya Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Balendra Shah, Chief Justice Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma, Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal and National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal attended the ceremony.

Chiefs of the security agencies, senior government officials and representatives of diplomatic missions were also present.

The ceremony was organised by the Constitution Day and National Day Main Celebration Committee.
