Investment in children is investment in nation’s future: PM Shah

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Balendra Shah has said that investing in children is an investment in the happy future of the nation.

In a message on the occasion of National Children’s Day 2026, Prime Minister Shah extended best wishes for happiness, good health, prosperity, success and a bright future to all Nepali children living in the country and abroad.

He also expressed respect to parents, teachers, people’s representatives, civil servants, civil society, development partners, media and other stakeholders working to protect and promote children’s rights.

This year’s National Children’s Day is being observed with the slogan, “Protecting Childhood: Securing the Future.”

Prime Minister Shah said the slogan highlights the need to ensure children’s safety and rights today for a prosperous future.

He stressed the need for effective coordination and accountability among the federal, provincial and local governments to ensure that every child can enjoy their constitutional and legal rights in daily life.
