Cabinet meeting today to review flood response and rehabilitation efforts

Kathmandu: A meeting of the Council of Ministers is being held at 3 pm today.

According to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the meeting has been called by Prime Minister Balendra Shah to discuss contemporary issues.

The meeting is expected to review the government’s disaster-response efforts following the devastating flash floods in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli river systems on August 26.

It is also expected to take necessary decisions to make ongoing search and rescue, humanitarian assistance and rehabilitation efforts in the affected areas more effective.
