Australian PM expresses solidarity with Nepal over devastating floods

Kathmandu: As Nepal observes a day of national mourning today, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and destruction caused by the devastating floods.

Addressing the Australian Parliament, Prime Minister Albanese said Nepal is not alone in this difficult time and expressed solidarity with the country and its people as they continue to cope with the disaster.

Australian Prime Minister Albanese also said he had spoken by telephone with Prime Minister Balendra Shah last Friday and conveyed his deep condolences on behalf of the Australian people.
