Rescue of two people alive keeps hope alive: Home Minister Gurung
Kathmandu: Minister for Home Affairs Sudhan Gurung has said that the rescue of two people alive from the tunnel of the Trishuli-3A Hydropower Project after ten days has kept hope alive for the rescue of others still missing.
In a Facebook post, Minister Gurung expressed gratitude to the teams from the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Central Command Centre for their dedicated efforts despite the difficult and challenging conditions.
Sanjay Sah and Kabir Maharjan, who had been trapped inside the tunnel of the Trishuli-3A Hydropower Project, were rescued alive this morning.
The Home Minister said rescue teams were continuing their search and rescue operations inside the tunnel in the hope of finding more survivors.
Minister Gurung was present at the site during the rescue operation, where he encouraged both the rescued workers and the rescue teams involved in the operation.
He also praised lawmakers Sagar Dhakal and Shriram Neupane for their continued efforts to search for and rescue people who went missing in the Bhotekoshi floods.
