Krishnabhir section of Prithvi Highway will be operational within this month: PM Shah

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Balendra Shah has said that the landslide-damaged Krishnabhir section of the Prithvi Highway will be opened for traffic within this month.

Prime Minister Shah, addressing today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, informed that the section of the Prithvi Highway at Krishnabir in Mugling–Naubise, which was blocked due to a landslide, will be made operational within this month.

The road is blocked after erosion beneath the road section by the Trishuli River caused the landslide and the subsequent road collapse. Prime Minister Shah provided this information today amid news reports saying that it could take months to get this road section operational again.

Prime Minister Shah said that the landslide will be cleared and the road rebuilt, so it will be operational within this month.

He also informed the parliament today about the flood in the Bhotekoshi to the Trishuli River and the unimaginable damage it caused in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading.
