Chinese Ambassador to Nepal calls on RSP President Lamichhane

Kathmandu: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Zhang Maoming, met with Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane today.

During the meeting held at President Lamichhane’s residence in Budhanilantha, matters related to the situation arising from the Bhotekoshi floods were discussed, shared RSP Spokesperson Jagadish Kharel.

During the meeting, Ambassador Maoming expressed grief over the damage caused by the Bhotekoshi floods. Stating that China stands with Nepal from search and rescue to reconstruction and rehabilitation, he informed that China is ready to support Nepal in any way possible in post-disaster management.

He also shared that China has been providing all necessary assistance, including rescue workers and DNA experts, immediately after the disaster and that this will continue as long as the need exists. In response, President Lamichhane expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by China.

Stating that China’s economic and technical assistance will be important in Nepal’s disaster risk reduction and management, he urged further support and cooperation in the days to come.
