Bangladesh pledges support to Nepal following devastating flash floods and mudslides

DHAKA, Aug 26: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh has expressed deep grief and solidarity with Nepal following sudden flash floods and mudslides that caused widespread death and destruction.
In an official press release issued on Wednesday, Dhaka noted that hundreds of people remain missing and are feared dead, including tourists.
On behalf of the government led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, Bangladesh extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and expressed hopes for the swift recovery and medical treatment of those impacted.
Reaffirming its fraternal ties with Nepal, the Ministry emphasized that Bangladesh stands fully prepared to assist in ongoing relief and rescue operations.
