Foreign Affairs Minister Khanal expresses grief over Indonesia earthquake

Kathmandu: Foreign Affairs Minister Shisir Khanal has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives and property caused by the powerful earthquake in Flores, Indonesia.

In a post on social media platform X, Minister Khanal said Nepal understands the pain and suffering caused by natural disasters, having itself experienced devastating earthquakes and other calamities.

He expressed Nepal’s solidarity and sympathy with the Government and people of Indonesia during this difficult time.

Minister Khanal conveyed condolences to the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the earthquake. He also expressed hope for the safety of all those affected and called for the successful rescue and rehabilitation of missing and displaced people.
