1,250 metric tons of fertilizer to arrive on Monday

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Environment has stated that 1,250 metric tons of DAP chemical fertiliser will arrive in Nepal on Monday.

A total of 30,000 metric tons of DAP fertiliser purchased through a global tender arrived at the Kolkata port of India on July 10.

Of this, 1,250 metric tons was transported towards Nepal on July 17. The packaging (bagging) work of the remaining fertiliser is currently underway at the Kolkata port.

The fertiliser will gradually enter Nepal once the packaging is completed, says the Secretariat of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Environment.
