Parliamentary committee invites complaints against proposed Chief Election Commissioner and Commissioners

Kathmandu: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee has invited complaints against three nominees proposed for appointment as the Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioners.

In a public notice, the Committee asked individuals to submit complaints within 10 days.

The nominees are Man Bahadur Karki for Chief Election Commissioner, and Dr. Rajeev Subba and Guru Prasad Wagle for Election Commissioners. Complaints may be submitted in either Nepali or English.

The three were recommended by the Constitutional Council at its July 3 meeting chaired by Prime Minister Balendra Shah. The Parliamentary Hearing Committee published the notice on July 10.
