NOC Slashes Fuel Prices; LPG Cheaper by Rs 100 per Cylinder

Kathmandu, July 1: The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced a significant reduction in the prices of petroleum products, including petrol, diesel, kerosene, aviation fuel and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), effective from Tuesday night.

According to the state-owned fuel supplier, petrol prices have been reduced by Rs 20 per liter, while diesel and kerosene are now cheaper by Rs 30 per liter.

The corporation has also lowered the price of domestic aviation fuel by Rs 40 per liter. Likewise, the rate of international aviation fuel supplied from Kathmandu has been cut by USD 265 per kiloliter.

In addition, the price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder has been reduced by Rs 100, bringing the new retail price to Rs 2,060.

Following the revision, petrol will now be sold at Rs 197 per liter, while diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 195 per liter in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal.

NOC said the price adjustment was made under its automatic pricing mechanism, taking into account fluctuations in international petroleum prices and the latest fuel procurement rates received from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
