Various party leaders extend best wishes to RSP

Chitwan: Senior leaders and representatives of various political parties were present to extend their best wishes at the inaugural session of the first general convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party here today.

Speaking as one of the invited guests, Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa said the NC is not an enemy but a competitor of the RSP. He also emphasized sustainability in the overwhelming mandate received by the party in the recent elections.

Former Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai, CPN (UML) leader Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Nepali Communist Party leader Barshaman Pun and Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chair Rajendra Lingden extended their best wishes. In addition, Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal Chair Upendra Yadav and Janamat Party Chair Dr Chandrakant Raut also wished for the success of the general convention.

The leaders praised the RSP for becoming the centre of national politics in a short time and emphasised that it should be able to fulfil the public mandate that it has received. They made it clear that they would support the good work done by the current government but point out any shortcomings.
