Devastation at Jyoti Secondary School: Lightning and storm ravage roof
Jumla: A severe lightning strike accompanied by a storm has devastated the roof of Jyoti Secondary School located in Jumla’s Tila Rural Municipality-9.
The hailstorm has caused a disruption in classes, as the roof has been entirely damaged.
Additionally, the storm scattered crucial documents from the school’s office.
The ward chair, Dhan Bahadur Rawat, stated that without a roof, there is no facility to conduct classes.
He remarked that the storm on Friday caused considerable damage to the school’s infrastructure.
To exacerbate the situation, the solar power system that the school depended on has been completely ruined.
With no electricity available from the national grid, Motiram Budha, the headmaster, voiced his concerns that the school, which relied on solar energy, is now plunged into darkness. RSS
