HoR meeting postponed till Thursday

Kathmandu: Even the third meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) held on Wednesday failed to proceed with regular business due to obstruction by the opposition parties. It prompted the Speaker to postpone the meeting till Thursday.

The opposition parties demanded the presence of Prime Minister Balendra Shah in the parliament and sought the Speaker’s ruling on it. Although the parliament meetings were held multiple times, they could not proceed to regular business.

The next meeting is scheduled for 11:00 am on Thursday.

The HoR meeting on Wednesday was scheduled to hold a discussion on the government’s policies and programmes, which were read out by President Ramchandra Paudel on Monday.
