Light to Moderate Rainfall Likely in Several Provinces Today

Kathmandu, May 12: The Weather Forecasting Division has predicted light to moderate rainfall in parts of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces later today.

According to the Division, a few places in the hilly regions of these provinces may witness rainfall, while one or two places in the Terai are also likely to experience moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.

The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy in Koshi Province and in the hilly and mountainous areas across the country. Southern plains are forecast to witness partly cloudy conditions.

Meteorologists said the current weather pattern is being influenced by westerly and local winds, along with the partial impact of a low-pressure system near the eastern region of Nepal.
