Nepal ‘A’ defeats USA by 3 wickets in Mulpani match

Kathmandu, May 8: Nepal ‘A’ team has registered a three-wicket victory over the United States in a one-day cricket match played at the Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground in Kathmandu on Friday.

Chasing a target of 263 runs set by the USA, Nepal ‘A’ achieved the victory with five balls to spare, losing seven wickets in 49.1 overs.

Mayan Yadav was the top performer for Nepal with a crucial 72 runs off 80 balls, hitting four fours and two sixes. Contributions also came from Tritraj Das (23), captain Anil Shah (27), Dev Khanal (17), Sandip Jora (36), and Kushal Malla (33).

Pawan Sarraf played a quick, unbeaten knock of 24 runs from 15 balls, including one four and two sixes, helping Nepal reach the target. Deepak Dumre remained not out on two runs as Nepal sealed the win.

The USA had set a target of 263 runs earlier in the match.
