Two Books on Playwright Bijaya Malla Launched

Kathmandu, May 3: Two books focusing on the life and works of senior dramatist Bijaya Malla were launched in Kathmandu on Sunday.

The books—Feminist Playwright Bijaya Malla by Dr Sadhana Panta and a biography titled Bijaya Malla by Narendra Raj Prasain—were unveiled during a ceremony marking the Bijaya Malla Centenary Celebration. The books were jointly released by Basudev Tripathi.

On the occasion, Keshav Subedi presented critical reviews of the publications, while both authors shared insights into Malla’s literary contributions and personality.

Malla, a noted playwright and poet, was born in 1982 BS in Kathmandu and passed away in 2056 BS.
