Government urges affected citizens to contact relocation registration center
Kathmandu: The Ministry of Urban Development has urged citizens who were left out during the relocation process of vulnerable settlements along riverbanks to come forward and register.
Issuing a press note today, the ministry requested such citizens, especially those currently without shelter or support, to register at the primary registration centre at Dasharath Stadium.
The government has arranged a holding centre to collect and manage digital records of genuine landless citizens. The centre provides basic services including shelter, food, health care, education for children, and psychological counselling.
The ministry has requested only verified landless citizens facing financial hardship to contact the registration centre and access available services.
It has also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to safe, orderly and long-term rehabilitation of affected citizens.
