PM Shah’s message of wisdom and peace on Buddha Jayanti

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Balendra Shah has issued a message of wisdom, peace and compassion on the occasion of Buddha Jayanti.

Quoting the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama, Prime Minister Shah recalled the Buddha’s words that there is suffering, there is a cause of suffering, there is an end to suffering, and there is a path leading to the end of suffering. Through social media, he stated that the path shown by the Buddha is the way to end suffering.

Using the example of light and darkness, Prime Minister Shah said that ignorance is automatically removed when the light of knowledge spreads. He said that the journey should be in search of the light of knowledge and along the path of problem-solving.

Wishing for world peace, he said that since the birth of Buddha, Nepal has stood for non-violence and peace. He also conveyed that a true revolution begins with knowledge.

On the occasion of Buddha Jayanti, Prime Minister Shah extended best wishes to all and inspired everyone with the message of “Appa Deepo Bhava” (Be a lamp unto yourself).
