Woman dies after house wall collapses in Siraha

Siraha, April 19: A 60-year-old woman died on Saturday evening after a house wall collapsed in Siraha district.

The deceased has been identified as Kisunbati Yadav of Sakhuwannkarkatti Rural Municipality–2.

According to the District Police Office, Siraha, the incident occurred when strong winds triggered by a storm caused a house wall to collapse on her. Police spokesperson Ramesh Bahadur Pal said Yadav died on the spot.

The storm that hit different parts of Madhesh Province on Saturday evening also disrupted normal life in several districts.

Authorities said details of the damage and losses caused by the storm are still being collected. Further assessment is underway in affected areas, police added.
