Brotherhood FC wins Golbazar Mayor Gold Cup football title

Siraha, April 13: Brotherhood Football Club, Udayapur, has clinched the title of the Ninth Golbazar Mayor Gold Cup Football Tournament.

In the final match held on Sunday in Golbazar, Siraha, Brotherhood FC defeated Sahalesh Youth Club, Siraha, 2–1 to secure the championship.

With the victory, Brotherhood FC received a cash prize of Rs 444,444, while runners-up Sahalesh Youth Club were awarded Rs 222,222.

Brotherhood FC’s Pujan Chaudhary was named the best player of the tournament. Awards were also presented to the best goalkeeper, best defender, and highest goal scorer, along with cash prizes.

A total of eight teams from Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces participated in the tournament, which was organized with a budget of Rs 2.5 million allocated by Golbazar Municipality, Mayor Shyam Kumar Shrestha said.
