RSP MPs Stress Private Sector Role in Economic Growth
Kathmandu, April 11: Lawmakers from the Rastriya Swatantra Party have called on the government to work closely with the private sector to drive the country’s economic development while ensuring social justice.
Speaking at a programme organised on the occasion of the third national convention of the National Enterprise Development Facilitator Federation of Nepal, the MPs said strengthening private sector capital and entrepreneurship is key to achieving sustainable economic growth.
Member of Parliament Manish Jha expressed confidence that the government will give priority to small-scale investment enterprises run by the private sector. He said the economy can only become strong if private sector capital and entrepreneurial capacity are reinforced.
Another MP, Sushant Baidik, said the government has already prioritised entrepreneurship, noting its inclusion in the government’s 100-point action plan. He emphasised that small and micro enterprises in rural areas play a crucial role in advancing the national economy.
Baidik added that promoting small and medium industries in villages is essential to achieve balanced economic progress alongside social justice.
