Swiss Ambassador pays courtesy call on Home Minister Gurung
Kathmandu: Ambassador of Switzerland to Nepal, Danielle Meuwly, paid a courtesy call on Home Minister Sudhan Gurung. During a meeting held at the Ministry on Wednesday, Ambassador Meuwly wished Home Minister Gurung for his successful term.

On the occasion, Home Minister Gurung urged the Swiss Ambassador to facilitate collaboration between the two countries in regard to the investigation into high-ranking Nepali people on unlawfully amassing wealth.
According to his secretariat, Home Minister Gurung requested the ambassador to take necessary initiatives to cooperate between the two countries for investigating whether high-ranking Nepali officials illegally deposited money earned from corruption and other crimes in Swiss banks, and to arrange for the return of the funds to the Nepalese government if deposits are found.
Respecting Minister Gurung’s decade-long experience and remarkable contribution to the disaster management sector, the Ambassador expressed commitment that the Swiss government would enhance collaboration to further strengthen early warning systems to reduce risks of climate change and disasters in Nepal.
