Lumbini Province Assembly Member Rekha Sharma Arrested Over Child Labour Allegation

Kathmandu, March 30: Lumbini Province Assembly Member Rekha Sharma was arrested by police from her residence in Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu, late Sunday night.

Her spouse, Chintamani Sharma, confirmed the detention by a team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office at 11 pm.

Sharma, elected from CPN (UML), faces allegations of forcing a young girl into child labour.
