Traffic Resumes on BP Highway After Flooding in Roshi River

Kavrepalanchok, March 29: Traffic has resumed on the BP Highway from this morning, following a blockage that started Friday evening due to flooding in the Roshi River caused by continuous rainfall.

The District Police Office has advised travellers to exercise caution while on the road, as adverse weather conditions persist. A temporary diversion road has been opened after the river’s water level receded.

The recent floods damaged around four kilometres of the diversion road between Chowkidanda and Nepalthok. Sections of the highway were also washed away in Biruwadanda, Kaldhanga, Chowkidanda, and Mangaltar, affecting local traffic and transport.
