Kathmandu Valley witnesses heavy traffic after rain
Kathmandu: Different areas in the Kathmandu Valley have witnessed heavy traffic since late afternoon due to the rainfall today.

The traffic authorities have shared that they have faced challenges in traffic management.
The Superintendent of Police of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Naresh Raj Subedi, said that a traffic jam was recorded in Koteshwor and other key intersections in the city.
The roads in the Maitighar, Putalisadak and Tinkune areas are filled with drainage water, adding woes to the vehicles. Subedi said that the traffic police are working to restore the normal situation.
Likewise, he urged the commoners to avoid travel, if possible, because the risks of road accidents are high from falling trees, power leakage, damage to the roofs and others.
