CJ Raut calls for efficient justice delivery during Dang court visit
Dang, March 18: Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut has directed judicial officials to ensure the timely and effective delivery of justice in line with changing circumstances.
During an inspection of the High Court in Tulsipur, he urged judges, legal practitioners and court staff to work in line with public expectations and strengthen service delivery.
Raut said the judiciary has begun to recover despite past setbacks, referring to damage to court infrastructure. He stressed the need for renewed commitment and determination in improving judicial performance.
Inspecting the court premises, he reviewed temporary arrangements for hearings after the building was damaged during last year’s Gen Z movement. He assured that the budget would be allocated for constructing a new High Court building in the next fiscal year.
The Chief Justice expressed satisfaction that important documents were preserved despite significant damage to physical structures and vehicles. He reiterated that rebuilding court infrastructure would be a priority.
On the occasion, Chief Judge Rajeshwor Tiwari said court services have resumed through temporary arrangements after the incident, adding that the court building was destroyed in arson during the protests.
Speakers at the programme appreciated the court’s efforts to continue services despite the challenges.
