RSP begins orientation for newly elected MPs

Kathmandu, March 17:

The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has started an orientation programme for its newly elected Members of Parliament.

According to the party, the two-day residential programme begins today in Lalitpur.

Party spokesperson Manish Jha said the orientation will cover parliamentary procedures, policymaking, parliamentary business and the duties of elected representatives. The programme will also brief lawmakers on party policies and other related matters.

Earlier on Monday, the party’s General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti issued a six-point directive to party lawmakers, asking them to attend the orientation.

The RSP secured 182 seats in the recent 2026 Nepal House of Representatives election under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) and proportional representation (PR) systems. The elections were held on March 5.
