Over 6,700 Foreign Tourists Enter Nepal via Kakadbhitta in Eight Months

Jhapa, March 16 – More than 6,700 tourists from third countries have entered Nepal through the eastern border at Kakadbhitta in the past eight months, according to the Immigration Office.

Tulsi Bhattarai, Chief of the Kakadbhitta Immigration Office, stated that visitors from countries including the USA, the UK, Bhutan, and others crossed into Nepal during the first eight months of the current fiscal year.

However, the number of tourists arriving via this entry point has declined compared to the previous fiscal year, when 8,723 tourists entered through Kakadbhitta.

In the same period, 6,552 tourists completed their stay and left Nepal through the eastern border after completing immigration procedures.

Additionally, over 3,000 Nepalis returned home from abroad, including students and workers, via the Kakadbhitta point during the review period.
