Government stops providing on-arrival visa to Iranian citizens
Kathmandu: Nepal has decided to stop granting on-arrival visas to Iranian nationals.
With this provision in place, the Iranian citizens, except government and diplomatic passport bearers, need their visas granted by the related Nepali Embassies abroad to enter Nepal.
The Immigration Department informed that the number of countries barred from receiving an on-arrival visa from Nepal government has reached 13.
Other countries in this list are Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Switzerland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, and Syria.
Officiating Director General at the Department, Tikaram Dhakal, informed that even people having a travel document of refugee status need to receive a visa from the Nepali embassies abroad while entering Nepal. RSS
